plasma rejuvenation

Skin rejuvenation is the most popular area of modern aesthetic cosmetology. Furthermore, nowadays, with increasing frequency, preference is given to non-invasive progressive exposure methods (without violating the integrity of the skin) and even without contact. And one of the innovative and effective methods is plasma rejuvenation (non-surgical plastic).

plasma skin rejuvenation procedure

Most, if not all, types of skin renewal are based on the principle of controlled damage to the skin, triggering the regeneration process, which ultimately leads to a reduction in the visible signs of aging. The plasma method works the same way, but with a few tricks.

First, the active substance, plasma, is a high-energy ionized gas. Second, the nitrogen used is chemically inert and suppresses tissue burning, displacing the oxygen needed for the oxidation process. As a result, the skin layers are damaged by plasma (due to heating, cracking and evaporation), but they do not burn as under the action of ablative lasers, so no open wounds form. This approach reduces the risk of side effects such as scarring, infections and discoloration.

What to Expect from Plasma Rejuvenation

Reduction of existing age-related changes, prevention of their progression and early onset. The procedure has a pronounced lifting effect (due to the "evaporation" of the skin flap), smoothes the skin relief by decreasing the depth of dynamic and static wrinkles, smoothes the course of natural folds, improves and evens out the skin tone. Furthermore, the result not only appears soon after the start of the treatment course, but also gradually increases over several months. The greatest effect can be expected after about 3 months.

Indications for use

  1. Non-surgical blepharoplasty.
  2. Treatment of stretch marks and scar removal.
  3. Acne and post-acne treatment.
  4. Removal of wrinkles around the eyes (crow's feet), around the mouth (purse).
  5. Elimination of sagging skin: in the neck, abdomen (postpartum abdomen).
  6. Aligning the contour of the face.
  7. Removal of fibroids, nevi, papillomas, age spots, xanthelasmus, dyskeratosis.

Contraindications

  1. Diagnosed cancer diseases from any location.
  2. Presence of precancerous skin diseases in the affected area or suspected of having them. Other benign neoplasms are not contraindications for plasma rejuvenation.
  3. ENT diseases in the acute phase (sinusitis and other forms of sinusitis, rhinitis, rhinosinusitis).
  4. Pregnancy period. At the same time, the procedure has a very high safety profile, as it does not lead to systemic (general) changes and pronounced metabolic changes. And in medical publications, there are reports of successful use of plasma rejuvenation in pregnant women. But it should not be forgotten that physiological hormonal changes during pregnancy affect the condition of the skin and can alter the effectiveness of the procedure.
  5. Breastfeeding period.
  6. Blood diseases, but at the same time, the presence of mild iron deficiency anemia with satisfactory health is generally not a reason to refuse the anti-aging procedure.
  7. The acute period of infectious diseases, the presence of an increase in body temperature.
  8. Diseases of the thyroid gland, accompanied by local or diffuse hypertrophy of its tissues and/or hormonal changes.
  9. Renal and liver failure.
  10. Cardiovascular diseases in the decompensated phase.

How the procedure is performed

Plasma facial rejuvenation does not require special training, prior adherence to any diet, or changes in the usual way of life. But a few days before the session, it is advisable not to use aggressive exfoliants and peels, go to a solarium, and people prone to allergic reactions should not try new products and cosmetics.

When using the device, even patients with a low pain threshold do not need local anesthesia. The healing/rejuvenation session lasts 15-30 minutes, its duration depends on the severity of the problem and the area of the treated area.

The patient is seated in a cosmetology chair or on a couch, and the specialist conducting the procedure, without contact, directs a pulsatile or plasma flow from the tip of the device to the skin. At the same time, it is possible to choose the most suitable operating mode for a particular patient. The session usually starts with pre-treatment of the skin to prepare it for subsequent stronger effects and to reduce the intensity of the sensations experienced. Upon completion of the procedure, the treated area does not need to be applied. During the next 3 days, it is advisable to refrain from exfoliating, peeling, visits to the beach and solarium.

The recommended number of procedures is 1 to 2 procedures per year.
